Malayalam Christian Testimony of Late. Bro. Saji Abraham

Malayalam Christian Testimony of Late. Bro. Saji Abraham Part 6(please watch them in order)
Murdered Indian was humanitarian Tuesday, March 14th 2006
Indian national Saji Abraham who was found dead in his Prashad Nagar apartment on Friday last was a youth leader in the now defunct Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and was also deeply involved in the care of people living with HIV and AIDS.
Police are still investigating Abraham’s death but a post-mortem report has revealed that he died of manual strangulation, coupled with blunt trauma to the head.
It was around 1997 that Abraham came to Guyana as a missionary and commenced work with YWAM, a close friend said. When his stint ended he opted to renmain in the country unlike other volunteers.
Abraham’s friend, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said she was shocked to open the papers and learn of his tragic passing.
“Saji was the kindest, most sweetest soul I knew and for the time that I have known him he was so compassionate to others and really gave most of himself to helping others and making people feel special.”
In the years that they worked together under YWAM, the woman said, Abraham led the way by example. She described his work as Passionate and far reaching.
There were times when they visited the Georgetown Public Hospital and spent time with HIV/AIDS patients. Other times, they cooked food and visited the Palms where they fed the elderly and also spent time just chatting with them.
She said that as far as she knows, Abraham opened his heart to anyone in need of love.
She recalled that he would spend time at the public hospital with people who felt abandoned and he would find children on the street and get homes to take them.
“I believe that he was very instrumental in getting a few persons buried – people who died at the hospital and their family wanted nothing to do with them,” she related.
Besides all the humanitarian work that he did, she said, Abraham was a very good composer and singer.
She said he used to attend many churches and sing Christian songs in Hindi.
According to her, YWAM closed down about three years ago and since then Abraham has been living in Guyana. She said he worked at Hotel Tower for a while and later he went over to Blue Diamonds.
The woman said she could not imagine why anyone would want to kill Abraham. She said the type of person that he was just did not fit with the gruesome end that he met.
“He didn’t deserve to die like that. Not Saji, he was too nice. I have never seen anyone do the things for people that he has done and he did it for people outside his homeland.”
She said that as a Guyanese she has not even contributed to Guyana as much as Abraham did and that is why she came forward to share that part of his life.
To his many friends and acquaintances, Saji will always be remembered as the tall, gentle but shy man whose zeal for serving Jesus presented itself passionately in the Christian AIDS ministry at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
He would openly share his experiences of working with the sick and dying; of liting a frail, dejected man to the restroom when nobody was there to offer help; of changing wet, sullied diapers on uncapicitated adult men, and feeding and comforting the comfortless, who were living out their last moments in a gloomy hospital.
Saji echoed that his service to others was a demonstration of the love of Christ Jesus. His own life had been a witness for Christ when God healed him of a crippling illness while in India. He would journey across the continent to serve God. Now, at his journey’s end, may his soul rest in eternal peace.

THE TIME IS SHORT

THE TIME IS SHORT C.H. SPURGEON Unabridged and Unedited Published on December 10, 1903 Delivered at the Metropolitan Tabernacle, Newington "The time is short" (1 Corinthians 7:29). The text does not say that time is short. That would have been a true statement. Compared with eternity, time, at the very longest, is but as a pin's point. But note what the text does say: " The time is short." It is the time of our life, the space of our opportunity, the little while we shall be upon the present stage of action, that is short. It is narrow and contracted, as the original implies. "Behold," saith the psalmist, "thou hast made my days as a handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee." Brief is the season we have allotted to us, brethren, in which we can serve the Lord our God. This is a truth which everybody believes, knows, and confesses. It is trite as a proverb on every tongue; yet how few of us act as if we believed it! We are
